How can it be that all the poker bloggers are out there kickin’ my butt for content?  It’s not like I have a day job or anything.

Al Can’t Hang has a monster day job and plays ten times as much poker as I do.  He actually leaves his house every day.  And he’s posting 7 posts to my 1.  Granted, he doesn’t sleep or eat - but can that really give him that much of an edge?

Iggy posted an uber this week that made my scroll bar cry for mercy.

FlipChip takes the best pics in the biz, outposts me, and manages to win a seat into the WSOP in his spare time.

Pauly single handedly covers the Monte Carlo EPT, hits the hash houses of Amsterdam on his way out - and lands the ESPN gig for the WSOP.

I met Dan for lunch while he was in Austin - just so he could tell me what was going on poker-wise in my own damn town.  Poker at Lala’s.  Who knew.

Even BJ’s been outblogging me.  And yes, your picture of Sammy’s paws will get you a relink in the blogroll.

And I know I’ve been slacking on my blogroll maintenance.  I didn’t even realize until this week that I wasn’t giving the blogroll nod to Dr Chako, who I ran into in Vegas last time I was there.  The Doc is currently going through his mid-life crisis.  I was going to offer him some advice on this front, but after reading his blog I’m beginning to think I should have asked him for advice.  After all, a Ferrari is probably a lot cheaper in the long run than giving up your six figure a year job to go back to school and write about poker.

So this week, my favorite blogger is Derek.  He puts some great shit out there - but, thankfully, he posts less than I do.

I have one more week in Austin before I head out to Vegas again.  My brother Matty will be meeting me out there.  And even though I’ll be working. we’re hoping to catch some quality Vegas time together.  We’re hoping to get to Hugo’s Cellar one night for dinner.  Hugo’s was the setting for one of the best scenes with Alan Boston in The Odds .  Alan if you’re in town - dinner’s on us.  

I think Matty’s getting in a little late to place a NASCAR bet - so I might try to get some money down before he comes in.  It will be the first time they use the Car of Tomorrow in a mile track.  Finding a good COT performer might be a little like knowing and betting the mudder.
