Iggy Lives, Vegas, and Austin

Well crack open the beer, pour yourself one, and change your links; Iggy lives. It seems we won’t be toasting Iggy’s demise in Vegas next month. We’ll be toasting to new a new beginning and hopefully on Iggy’s tab. I’ve got to say, I think that PokerWorks “gets it.” They’ve been building up their blog family nicely over the last year, but they needed a patriarch. When they added Micheal Craig, it was more like taking in a crazy uncle than a father. But now with Iggy, I feel like their family unit is somehow more complete.

I’ve booked my trip to Vegas for the WPBT Winter Classic. I’m definitely hoping that we’re able to get in some low limit mixed games again. Some of my favorite moments this summer came from tilting Wil Wheaton during $3/6 stud hi/lo, playing 9-T soooted with Gracie, getting the classic Ryan stare down during the blogger tournament (which he delivered with such seriousness that it made me giggle)…well now that I think about it, everything with bloggers is my favorite moment.

This will be a short entry because my brother and mother are in town this week. It’s nice to have the company. It made me clean my house, which is always a treat. And I usually take them places that I love or have never been before. Yesterday we went to the Blanton Museum, which I hadn’t been to yet. It’s down by campus and it was a wonderful 70+ degree day. The collection has a nice combination of European, contemporary, and modern. I liked this Rubens only because it reminded me of Frodo Baggins.
We topped off our trip with a few frozen margaritas at Chuys. All in all, not a bad Austin day.
Thrilled we’ll be seeing you (and your cleavage) in December!!

Awesome!
And if I read correctly, the low limit mixed games will be on Dec. 8th at the MGM.
