Vegas Deja Vu

Well I haven’t finished doing laundry, packed or even made my packing list - so I must be leaving for Vegas soon.  And I see by one of the comments on my last entry that I’m even lagging a little bit on the excitment front as well.  Don’t get me wrong.  I look forward to the WSOP every year - and this will be my 6th year winging my way to the desert for the big dance.  I guess I’ve just been focussing on the seven long weeks away and everything that I had to do to prepare for work.  But lucky for me, all the people that I’ll be spending those long weeks with are reminding about the good times ahead.

I’m getting picked up from the airport by wildbill and the Poker Shrink.  I’m guessing poker and sushi could be on Monday’s agenda.  It’s Jen’s birthday on the 30th, so after our PokerNews planning meeting, there is a rumored birthday celebratory tournament at TI.  Of course later in the journey, Jen and John will be tying the knot.  The bloggers are going to be invading (thank some supernatural force): doubt I’ll get to play the tourney - but I’ll definitely get my poker blogger fix.  The WPBT Summer Classic is at the Orelans this year and I adore the Orleans.  And at the very end of the journey, all the poker boyz are coming into town.  It’s been a long time since we’ve had more than the minimum for a quorum.  And of course, even when I”m working, I’ll be working with the best peeps in the biz.

I put the picture of Leigh, Brian and the airstream Flying Cloud up because Flying Cloud is one thing I won’t see in Vegas this time.  But don’t worry, Flying Cloud (and its blog) are now in the good hands of Lynn and Michael.  Leigh, Brian, and dog Curtis are staying put in Vegas for awhile, and blogging at LBC.

OK.  I confess.  I’m still freaking out a little.  Maybe I better start the laundry.
